Courses
• Each lesson is 45 minutes.
• Course fees include: placement tests, registration,
tuition, use of self-study facilities, progress assessment,
some social activities, Internet use.
• The book fee includes books, teaching materials, student's
file, Lingusitic
Profile and a Certificate of Attendance.
• Course fees do not include: examination fees where
relevant, the cost of some social activities, insurance, bank
charges and course books unless otherwise specified
• The school reserves the right to change course content
& class times.
• We expect students to behave well and attend lessons.
• We may dismiss a student for improper behaviour without
a refund.
Holidays
• Short courses - no holidays, courses take place on
public holidays.
• Long courses - half-term holidays 09 & 12 March, 05 & 08 October 2012.
• Long courses do not take place on public holidays 06 & 09 April, 07 May, 04 & 05 June,
27 August, although new
students should attend College for testing.
• Richard Language College is closed from 10 December 2011 - 2 January
2012.
• Richard Language College is closed from 14 December 2012 - 7 January
2013.
• Other holiday dates must be agreed before arrival.
• No refund will be made for holidays requested after
arrival.
Payment
• To guarantee your place full fees must be paid before
arrival.
• Payment can be by bank transfer, credit card or sterling
cheques.
• Payment instructions will be given with the confirmation.
Booking, Alterations and Cancellations
• We require minimum 1 week's notice for changes to any
course booking or your accommodation booking (not including
cancellation).
• While we make every effort to make the change you request,
we cannot guarantee changes requested less than two weeks
before your original start date.
• All cancellations must be in writing.
• In the case of cancellation the registration fee is
forfeited.
• Cancellation charges
• Less than 15 days’
notice: 30% of the total price
• Less than 10 days’
notice: 50% of the total price
• Less than 2 days’
notice: 90% of the total price
• In the event of cancellation after arrival no refund
of tuition fees can be made. In special cases the Principal
may exercise his discretion.
• If we are unable to provide you with the accommodation
or airport transfer service or a reasonable alternative, we
will refund in full.
• All bank charges must be paid by the student.
Homestay Accommodation
• Accommodation is normally reserved from 12.00 noon
Saturday to 12.00 noon Saturday.
• Students wishing to arrive and depart on a Sunday may
do so by prior arrangement.
• Students arriving on a Sunday and leaving on a Saturday
will be charged the weekly rate.
• Extra nights are charged pro-rata.
• Particular needs, interests or medical problems should
be indicated when registering.
Airport Transfer
• Prices include parking and 1 hour waiting.
• Delays beyond 1
hour are charged at £15 per hour plus extra parking if applicable.
• The shared transfer prices are based on same airport/
same arrival/departure time.
Liability
• We do not accept liability for any loss, damage
or misadventure you may suffer in the school, accommodation,
or elsewhere.
Insurance
• Purchase of an appropriate policy is strongly recommended,
covering eventualities such as cancellations, delayed travel
and medical emergencies.
Governing law
• These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and
construed in accordance with the Law of England and Wales.
